Guardian Children's Fiction Award 2011

I know that as Librarians, Educators, Parents it seems like there is an endless list of books we should introduce our children to.  Literary awards make it a little easier on us to choose some good titles for our kids.    
The Guardian, a British Newspaper, sponsors an annual Children's Fiction award which honors the best works in Youth fiction in the United Kingdom for the year.  As you consider your summer reading choices for your older elementary to young adult reader, why not choose titles that have been hand-picked by experts?  It is also fun to see what titles are chosen from countries outside of our own.  One World, Many Stories!
